Stable Twenty-Three (Stable 23) is the racing division of the standardbred business controlled by Stephen Palermo. Stephen has been in the standardbred business since 1984 and over the last 20 years has concentrated on the trotting side of business. The mission of the racing division is to seek out young prospects and develop solid raceway performers, with the ambition of successful summers racing horses in the condition ranks, and aspirations of higher goals competing in stakes races throughout multiple jurisdictions. Stable Twenty-Three partners with many and uses the services of successful trainers around North America.

La Pineta Fattoria is the new name of the breeding division of the business. Again, concentrating on the trotting side of the industry, La Pineta Fattoria now has 12 broodmares in partnership with Pinestone Farms of Innisfil, Ontario and Princeton Farms of Princeton, Ontario. There are presently 6 broodmare prospects in the racing division and will make the transition to the broodmare band in due time. Stephen values his many partners and is always open to new opportunities.
